This isn’t about social media, likes, or trends.
Imagine with me for a moment - it’s 1 week after your wedding and you are still settling down from that high, maybe unboxing from a move, or perhaps looking through all the photos and videos people captured on their phones from the day.
…It’s now 1 month later, you have begun adjusting to the chapter in life we call marriage. Responsibilities, routines, jobs - the norm.
You blink - next thing you know you are making plans for your 10 year wedding anniversary. Your partner and you begin reminiscing about THAT day - the day you managed to gather everyone important in your lives under one roof to celebrate. All the moments, feelings, and sweet and tender memories flood back in. You do your best to recall funny stories, favorite moments, the deep emotions felt that day or maybe you are reminded of sweet moments you had with someone who has since passed. The details a bit foggier, many of the phone photos and clips lost to time, wishing there was a way you could be transported back to that day.
THAT moment is one of the core pillars of why I choose to do what I do. To give people the chance to look back, properly. As a human, I hate the concept of FOMO (fear of missing out) marketing, I hate the anxiety and desperation it creates but even more I hate how effective it is. I could sit here and tell you about how “everyone” tells me they regret not adding video to their day. In reality, your day will be beautiful whether you hire a video team or not. So ultimately, regardless of why you originally looked into wedding video I want you to feel fully assured and zero regrets about adding me to your big day.
